If you haven't seen this yet, it's what I did at Fort Benning last month. 5 times. My only regret is I didn't do it 15 years ago for the first time. So freaking awesome.

Now back in Seoul Max wants to help out in the kitchen.

Even though the counter tops are shorter he is still too small to really accomplish much=)

Max got his first (definitely not his last, he is a Baker boy!) wound on our trip back from the states. He did a nose dive while holding onto the personal video screen attached to our seat. This happened before we even took off and was quite an auspicious start to our flight back to Korea. Luckily he was not too hurt, but got a nice little rug burn on his nose. He is all healed now and luckily the rest of the flight went a lot smoother.

Our last day in Orcas, we found a purple star fish on my mom and Bruce's beach.

Hiked up Turtle Back Mountain.
The views from the top were outstanding.

And had a delicious last dinner at the Deer Harbor Inn. Thanks for a great stay Mom and Bruce!

Max found a new toy.

And puffs his cheeks out for his grandma's enjoyment.

Like father like son! Jay and Max both say Oooooooh=)
Fun on the Ferry ride to Friday Harbor.

Max and Gandpa Bruce have a moment....hard to tell who is making fun of who here=)

Hard to imagine a better view than the one from my mom and Bruce's new jacuzzi.
The view from Mt. Constitution was pretty good too;)
Grandma MJ tried to get Max excited about Mt Baker, the snow capped peak to the right of them in this photo.....but he was not having it.

But he was excited to suck on a big clam shell I found on the beach.

Yesterday, Jay and Bruce went on a Kayaking trip to some of the near islands. We watched them paddle by from my mom and Bruce's house. They are in the front Kayak.
They continued in the lead after waving at us.

Meanwhile, Max was working on his "Look Mom no Hands" trick.

Max explores his first Douglas Fir down on the beach.
The whole time saying "Oooooooooh, oooooooooh." This is one of his favorite sounds lately.
Ooooooooh seaweed.

Satlty?

Our first morning on Orcas Island Max woke before dawn.
So we got to see the sun rise from the little beach just down from my parents house.

Max was pretty excited about just about everything=)

The latest family shot yesterday by Elisa on her new porch with norcal sunshine sneaking in behind us.

YK came over with his lady Carrie and we had a fish sandwich party. You'd never guess but those things party hearty. Colleen is sad she didn't make the shot but she took the best photo. Them's the breaks of being such a good photog.
We went over to Sacramento to see Max's Great-Grandma B. She is still rocking at 88 and made us a delicious dinner including 3 pies! She said she wouldn't make pies again for another 10 years. We look forward to hold her to it when she's 98.
Max's Great Aunties Diane and Carolyn came over and his Great Uncle Earl and Second Cousin Jared. It was a Baker bash. Did I mention Grandma B made 3 pies?!? Delicious!

Today Max, Elisa and I spent time with my friend Irene from High School and her 8 month old daughter Kate.
Max as always was eager to make friends.
Kate was not so sure....

In the end she decided Max was alright=)
