Life in the ROK

West goes East: The lives and adventures of a Californian couple living in Seoul

Monday, November 05, 2007

The second day we went to Sorak National Park to hike around and climb some rocks. It's the most magnificent of Korea's national parks and is renowned for its fall colors.
We're in the shade in this photo but it shows how crowded it got at the top of a few hundred foot rock we climbed up. Of course it was packed with Koreans who all love the mountains.
This is the bottom of the rock with Mr. Yim stepping off. It was mostly stairs all the way up but pretty steep ones.

If you get a chance to visit Sorak in the fall, it will be a highlight of your Korean trip.
